Dear Sir or Madam,
I noticed your judging glance and I wanted to let you know: If it makes you uncomfortable, please do not look at me while I am breastfeeding.
I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that you’re religious, only because I’ve never met an atheist or agnostic person to be offended by something as silly as a baby eating. I am sorry that your beliefs about modesty and mine don't match. Did you know that in some cultures, women walk around with cloth covering their heads? Or entire bodies? It’s usually because of their religion, and you know what? I respect that. As long as that woman has the same fundamental human rights as a man, and has the choice to wear that headscarf, I am all for it. I’m also all for people having the rights to tattoo their faces and then procreate and raise kids, and have breakfast with them at local cafes. AMERICA, it’s filled with all of these people making choices that I don’t agree with and hot damn, that’s just great, isn't it?
Another great thing about America is that women have the right to breastfeed in public. Feel free to disagree with it, and feel disgusted and look away and drive home in your car that has an American flag bumper sticker on it and sing God Bless America to get that horrifying image of me feeding my child out of your mind, because Freedom is a beautiful thing.
